Today in this episode of Movie Snippets, I would like to recommend the movie The Namesake.
Directed by Mira Nair. Starring — Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Kal Penn.
A tale of a son who has been named after an eccentric Russian author by his father because of his affinity to the writer’s book.
The story is told from the beginning with Irrfan and Tabu doing what they do best which is to indulge the audience with their subtlety.
It is an emotional journey about the contrast of living styles of the first-generation Indians migrating to the US and their children are depicted wonderfully.
This story is an adaptation of the book of the same name by author Jhumpa Lahiri.
